July 26, 2022The year 2022 brought with it a great novelty when it comes to digital marketing work. It is time to recover small gains and strategies that were once a real success, at the beginning of the previous decade, as a result of a growing flow of users in the various mailing tools.
E-mail, or electronic mail, as we commonly call it in Portugal, is one of the main developments of the century for communication purposes. Over time, this style of messaging has become a better asset between companies, whether for internal and/or external business communications. In 2010, it served as one of the main focuses for the transmission of advertising and corporate messages, since social networks still did not have as solid a weight of relevance as they do now.
But then, if doing email marketing is something ‘of the past’, why bet on it again?
The truth is that this marketing strategy has never become outdated or lost the value it once held. Simply with the introduction of other methodologies, its applicability has fallen into disuse for many companies. This, of course, is because the vast majority of businesses began to prefer working with a diverse and broad audience, to the detriment of a more specific network of contacts.
And as in any other marketing action, nothing is really wrong or right, depending on the corporate project itself, because it will determine the best action to take, in order to obtain expected positive results.
It is in this follow-up that we recover this issue of email marketing and its added value for 2022.
This year, we believe that vintage will reign, the search for recovering small treasures from the past reigns in the minds of people who want to put aside thoughts of the pandemic and move on. We noticed that the use of e-mail is a growing trend, which aims to reach numbers similar to 2010, therefore presenting a new value to e-mail marketing, which very easily retains the consumer’s attention and makes him an accomplice of a form of communication more assertive and focused.
